20/07/10 BA Cabin Crew Reject Latest Pay Offer
In a ballot conducted by the union Unite, British Airways cabin crew have rejected the latest pay offer which it was hoped would bring an end to strike action.
The union have said that this should be a wake up call for Willie Walsh at BA.
BA in the meantime have issued a statement calling on the union to end the dispute and say that they are encouraged by the ballot result, as the low number of votes cast mean that 73% of the balloted cabin crew did not reject the affer.
Unite have not shown any intention yet of balloting their members on further strike action.
