Malaga Airport, otherwise known as Airport, is located 8Km South west of Malaga, on the Costa del Sol.
Malaga airport has 3 connecting terminals, Terminal 1, 2, and 3, the latter being opened in March 2010.
After the opening of Terminal 3, T1, which can be accessed from T1 is expected to have very little use and is expected to close and be refurbished. T2 has been undergoing refurbishment recently.
The airport also opened a second runway in June 2012, effectively doubling the airport's capacity for aircraft take-offs and landings.
The airport has good connections to the E15 N340 motorway to travel East or West from the centre of the Costa del Sol, and also has it's own train station.
