05/10/20 UK Government Considering Covid Testing at Airports With a Reduced Quarantine Period
According to the Daily Telegraph, it is anticipated that the UK government will be making an announcement on the introduction of virus testing at UK airports to reduce the need for quarantine when returning to the UK.
It is believed that the government is considering asking to see a negative test result on arrival, then if they produce a further negative result after 4 days of quarantine, there would be no need for a further quarantine period.
It is understood that if introduced, the scheme would be piloted at London Heathrow airport initially.
